REGISTRATION, PACKET PICKUP, GENERAL RACE QUESTIONS

Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding registration and packet pickup:

HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR THIS RACE?

You may register either online or on race day at the registration kiosk. For MAIL IN registration, select check/cash and enter your registration information. Print this and mail in with your check. We do accept race day registrations however, this race usually sells out!

CAN I PICKUP A PACKET FOR A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER?

Yes.

ARE CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED AT PACKET PICKUP?

Yes.

WHEN AND WHERE IS PACKET PICKUP?

Packet pick-up will be held on-site race day from 8-8:45 pm for all hourly events.

AM I GUARANTEED A RACE SHIRT?

Every participant is guaranteed a shirt. Everyone registered prior to October 18 will have the shirt size they selected during online registration. Packet pickup and same day registrants will receive a shirt on a first-come, first-serve basis. We do our best to get everyone the size they want.

WHAT IF I NEED TO EXCHANGE FOR A DIFFERENT SHIRT SIZE?

After the race, you can exchange your shirt from the remaining sizes available.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE HOURLY WAVES?

This race is chip timed, but the race will initially begin with a gun start. If you want to change to a different hourly wave, send us an email info@tortoiseandthehareracing.com. There will be NO changes to your hourly event once the race begins! (NO "dropping" from 6 hr to 3 hr for example. You simply stop running and that is your mileage for that event.)

ARE PACERS ALLOWED?

Yes, they must sign and waiver and bring their own fuel.

WHAT TYPE OF TIMING IS BEING USED?

TATHR Event Timing will be timing the event. We will use our new, state of the art MyLaps Bibtag Timing System. Your timing chip will be on the back of your racing number bib. Participants must where their number on the FRONT of their outer most garment. Participants must wear a race number bib to get an official time and be included in the results. For accurate reading, please make sure your bib is free of obstruction, such as a fanny pack, etc.

WHERE CAN I FIND RESULTS AFTER THE RACE?

Results will be posted here on the race website online and can be found by scanning the QR code on your bib.

ARE THERE HOTEL DISCOUNTS?

No. We have a couple hotels within a couple miles of the location.
